community grant for riverbank litter picking project

Riverbank Litter Picking Project

OVER THE MOON!!!

We have some amazing news we would love to share with you. We have been awarded a community grant for our Riverbank Litter Picking Project. This will allow us to continue our pioneering River Usk clean up project which has so far delivered significant benefits to the city’s environment over the last five years.

The funding will enable us to purchase specialist tools and equipment, along with training to ensure our volunteers are safely protected whilst working in and around the river environment and to enable long term sustainability and expansion of the project. It will also build the strong partnerships we already have between the voluntary, public and private sector organisations. Along with improving the landscape, increased recycling and community participation.

Special thanks to NCC, NRW, KWT and all our volunteers who work tirelessly. Special thanks must go to our very own Steve Preddy and huge thanks to Sue and Paul from The Road to Nature who without them this would not have been possible. Along with everyone who voted for us.

If you would like more information about any of our projects please dm us on Facebook.

Roll on the light nights we can’t wait to get out there again!!
